There are remodels, and then there are complete transformations. The kind that makes you stop in the doorway, catch your breath, and think — this is exactly what a home is supposed to feel like. That’s what our designer Erin delivered with this stunning renovation at a gorgeous lakehouse in Lake Carroll, and it is an absolute joy to share it with you!
A complete home remodel is a breeze when you can coordinate all of your materials in one place, and this project is such a gorgeous example of that.

Erin’s vision for this kitchen centered on one beautifully simple idea: open it up. By removing the wall that once separated the kitchen from the front entrance, the entire floor blossomed into a spacious and welcoming living area that’s absolutely bathed in natural light.
The WoodHarbor Custom Cabinetry in this room is simply stunning. Perimeter cabinets in a crisp Snow White finish pair beautifully with soft White Oak on the island and stove hood, striking that perfect balance of clean and cozy that is so hard to get right. The Hanstone Montauk polished quartz countertops provide a bright and seamless workspace. And the Pearl White petal mosaic backsplash from Elon Tile & Stone adds just the right touch of delicate texture. Finally, the jewelry of the room – the Hudson Valley Lighting Brim pendants above the island – create a warm golden glow .

Is there anything more welcoming than a warm, crackling fire? Erin designed this entire living room around this grand, oversized, statement fireplace.
The dramatic floor-to-ceiling Oakfield Weathered Edge Stone, paired with the incredible handcrafted Toscana limestone mantel, makes this fireplace feel both rustic and refined at once. The 4237 Ember-Glo Top Vent Clean Face Deluxe fireplace unit anchors the room with cozy flames at the touch of a button. Flanked by WoodHarbor Custom Cabinetry on each side, this is the perfect elegant display for family photos and treasured keepsakes. The carefully chosen furniture pulls it all together into a space that feels comfy but polished, while the enormous floor-to-ceiling picture windows bring the natural beauty of the outdoors into the room.
When everything is selected with the same eye for quality and comfort, the room just feels perfectly curated and complete.

A master bathroom should feel like a little escape from the world — a place that is entirely yours, designed with care, and beautiful enough to make getting ready in the morning feel luxurious. Erin absolutely delivered that here, and the result is the kind of spa-worthy retreat that invites you to relax and unwind.
The countertops are the same Hanstone Montauk polished quartz found in the kitchen, which creates that lovely sense of cohesion as you move through the home. But the true showstopper in this room is the European-style wet room, which combines the tub and shower area. The walls are dressed floor to ceiling in Artmore Tile Alice Garden tile in a generous 12×36 format, with a subtle, organic texture that catches the light in the most beautiful way. It feels luxurious and wonderfully serene.
Underfoot, a heated floor with classic herringbone tile grounds the space with warmth and elegance without ever competing with those gorgeous walls. Together, every element in this bathroom says the same thing: take a deep breath and relax.

Imagine the sun setting over the lake through enormous picture windows while the gentle glow of the fireplace fills the room.
Erin collaborated with our fireplace team to create this custom Kingsman Fireplace design, which is raised up off the floor level so it can be admired from across the dinner table. It’s crowned with a gorgeous Hawthorne wood mantel and dressed in Porcelanosa’s Japan Blanco tile — a shimmery, light-catching material that makes the entire wall feel like a piece of art. Floating above the table, the Mitzi Mimi chandelier in aged brass with champagne glass globes looks like a piece of modern art.
This room is perfect for dinner parties, long conversations, and meals that become cherished memories.

The lower level of a home so often becomes a catch-all space, full of good intentions and not much else. Erin helped this homeowner turn her basement into a main attraction, full of fun features – a shuffleboard table, a basement bar & wine cellar, and an in-home theater – that she can enjoy with her children and grandchildren.
The central backdrop of the lower level is the double-sided Marquis Grand Infinite linear fireplace. It makes a cozy and sophisticated focal point, surrounded by amazing fluted ceramic wall tile. Underfoot, Mannington flooring in Pomace runs throughout. It’s beautiful, durable, and ready for every grandkid who runs in dripping from the lake. Whether it’s a quiet evening sipping wine or a lively family game night, this basement is built for making memories.
A project this beautiful does not happen without an extraordinary team. A heartfelt thank you goes out to TAS Enterprises, whose expert contracting work brought every inch of Erin’s vision to life with professionalism and care. Our in-house fabrication and installation teams deserve so much credit as well — from the granite shop crew who flawlessly fabricated and installed every countertop in this home, to the fireplace specialists who installed each stunning unit with precision and expertise.
This is what it looks like when talented designers and craftsmen come together to make dreams come true.
