Quartz Countertops: Beautiful Engineered Stone

Quartz is a man-made product that boasts literally hundreds of colors from which to choose.
It is manufactured by combining about 93 percent crushed natural quartz and 7 percent resin, which is a bonding agent. The result is a very strong, consistent, stone-like quartz countertop. Because it is engineered, there is no natural graining, and the color is even throughout the slab. Homeowners love its rich, luxurious look and finish, and they especially appreciate that it does not require sealant. It has the same durability as granite and is even less likely to chip or crack. However, it is more expensive than granite, slightly less scratch-resistant, and more sensitive to heat than natural stone.
When you decide on quartz for your kitchen or bathroom countertops, there are so many options for colors that it might seem overwhelming. But at Benson Stone in Rockford, IL, natural and fabricated stone is our business. We fabricate our own stone in a building right next door to our showroom, and we can give you expert advice about what color might work best in your kitchen or bathroom.
We have a wide selection of colors and styles, ranging in price from $75 to $120 per square foot. Our salespeople know just about everything there is to know about quartz, and our professional installers will make it look just right in your home.
