I’m totally in love with this boho style kitchen remodel project we did in Roscoe, IL. This young family had a dark wood, 70’s-style kitchen that was cramped and a little dated. We really opened up the space and gave it a fresh, vibrant feel. This happy home features the following from Benson Stone Company…

Custom cabinets by Marquis in oyster white paint, including kitchen perimeter, peninsula, pantry, and built-in china cabinet in the living room. All get a touch of elegance with modern Jeffrey Alexander brushed gold hardware.

The perimeter cabinets are topped with Superwhite polished quartz countertops. Paired up with white gloss subway tile backsplash, this is a very popular combo for a clean and bright look in the kitchen. Of course, the peninsula is the real knock-out, covered in elegant, jet-black Nero Marquina quartz with a dramatic waterfall edge. Special compliments to our own team of granite craftsmen for the fabrication and install in this gorgeous kitchen.

Finally, we installed Regal Maple engineered hardwood flooring by Eagle Creek throughout the kitchen, front entry, living room, dining room, master bedroom, and hallway.

Hats off to Erin and these homeowners for the elegant collaborative interior design in this newly built home!

We’re excited to show off the design work in this bright, spacious new home. This beautiful new construction features lovely design elements throughout, but we want to highlight just a few of them.

The kitchen showstopper is the Calacatta Luccia polished quartz counters and full height backsplash. This marble-look classic will stand the test of time with dramatic gray veining on a creamy white background. It’s both elegant and easy, requiring little to no maintenance through the years. The bathroom vanities also feature cloud white quartz, for a fresh, bright look.

The countertops throughout the home were fabricated here in the Benson Stone Co granite shop and installed by our own team of expert granite craftsmen. We’re so proud to say that we’ve been voted the area’s #1 Granite Shop thanks to their dedication to excellence!

We chose DuraSupreme knotty alder cabinets with a Hudson panel in a cashew stain on the kitchen island, and in white paint on the perimeter. Knotty alder is a more rustic species, with smooth hardwood with a straight grain pattern and coloring. The knots vary in size and distribution and include tight, sound knots as well as open and split knots, giving the wood a uniquely informal appearance.

We also custom designed the white birch built-in entertainment cabinets and the bathroom vanities.

We used Oak style luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the living areas. This style features extra-long planks for a grand sense of scale plus enhanced painted bevels for ultra-realistic wood looks. Luxury vinyl floors can be installed in high-traffic and high-moisture areas, so they’re a strong choice for just about any room in the house. Special compliments to our own in-house team of flooring installers for the beautiful craftsmanship in this home!

Finally, the Suave Bianco tile in bathroom, which was installed by the Benson Stone Co tile team. With its pure white color and delicate contrasting grey veins, this luminous style is perfect for luxurious design spaces.

This elegant design features custom Marquis cabinets with brushed gold hardware. We used stained hickory hardwood on the lower cabinets and island to ground the design, and painted white on the uppers to uplight the space and make it appear larger.

The soft blonde engineered hardwood plank flooring provides a light base, which opens up the room. Our in-house team of flooring craftsmen provide top-quality hardwood installation, which improves the value of the home.

Finally,  the striking black & gold pendant lighting over the kitchen island adds the finishing touch, along with the popular porcelain farmhouse sink.

These folks chose top quality Woodharbor cabinetry, with a white painted perimeter and a soft grey stained wood for the island. And did you notice the built-in wine bottle cubbies in the island? Custom details like this give the room a craftsman feel, and it’s a super handy for hosting dinner parties!

For this kitchen remodel, we chose ceiling-height beech wood cabinets by Marquis in a rich Mocha color for both the island and the perimeter. This brand makes a high-quality custom cabinet product, and they turned out great.

Our talented granite craftsmen created the lovely, durable grey-beige granite countertops. We also chose Somerset handcrafted hickory hardwood flooring, which adds depth to the room and also adds considerable value to the home. Finally, we completed the design with those big, bright glass pendant lights, and handmade Canadel dining stools upholstered in a stain-proof dove grey fabric.

This young couple came to us because they wanted to remodel the kitchen in their new home, and turn it into something elegant and timeless.

We went for a really classy, traditional style in this kitchen with the dark stained Woodharbor cabinetry and glass accent doors. This high-quality custom cabinetry features a some handy practical designs, including pull-out spice shelves and a hidden built-in cutting board for extra counter space. The island and the perimeter cabinets are topped with soft, polished granite countertops from our own fabrication shop. The mosaic tile backsplash compliments them perfectly with a palette of olive and antique white. Then we added a more contemporary touch with sleek pendant lighting over the island.

Finally, the homey décor finishes off this kitchen remodel project, and this couple is ready to host a cheerful family dinner!

As part of the big project we definitely went out to other stores. We were looking at prices and what we found out was Benson’s prices were better than the other places we went, but also working with the Benson’s team we had options across the board.

This couple came to me because they wanted an modern, urban-style kitchen remodel.

 

They have a beautiful home right on the river, which they were renovating to fit their contemporary taste.  We installed an awesome variety of custom cabinetry throughout the kitchen. We chose stained bamboo for the lower cabinets, frosted white glass above the sink, and a custom metal garage-door style tower cabinet. White quartz countertops around the sink contrast the brown quartz on the kitchen island, and both show off an elegant waterfall edge. Thanks to our team of experts and our state-of-the-art technology, the granite shop at Benson Stone Co is able to offer a level of quality and craftsmanship that you won’t find anywhere else in the area.

 

Stainless steel lends a cool touch on the fixtures, appliances, and bar stools, and it’s mimicked in the metallic backsplash as well. Finally, the beautiful tile flooring adds even more texture and versatility to the room. Our trusted flooring crew did a beautiful job with this tile installation, as usual!

 

Once the project was finished, the kitchen was completely transformed! It was now sleek and efficient, and perfect for hosting a classy cocktail party.

Located in the heart of downtown Evanston, Fountain Square Plaza is a historic urban gathering space. In 2019, Evanston renovated the plaza, adding a new zero-depth public fountain, a Veterans memorial wall, a beautiful new curbless streetscape, colorful street furniture and more. The vibrant outdoor setting serves as a community event space and connects multiple streets, accommodating the thousands of people who pass through this plaza daily.

Benson Stone provided all of the handsome paving bricks for the new plaza. City planners rely on us to coordinate and supply the best materials for projects of all sizes. This project features Unilock EcoPromenade bricks in French Gray, Granada White, Midnight Sky, and Winter Marvel, with 6×6″ UniGranite in Dark Char used as accent. These permeable, non-slip, stain-resistant bricks are perfect for high-traffic outdoor walkways.

This gorgeous tropical greenhouse and lagoon on the riverfront is one of Rockford’s crown jewels. The landscaping outside the conservatory was restored as part of the Rockford Park District’s 100th anniversary riverfront restoration program. In the summer of 2012, the new lagoon was reopened and officially named Eclipse Lagoon.

Benson Stone company provided decorative boulders, flagstone for walking paths, paving brick, and wall stones for this project. We worked alongside the city contractors to ensure that the landscaping materials for this public park were uniquely beautiful, durable, and long-lasting.
