Looking at the finished room today, I couldn't be prouder of how every single material, finish, and detail came together!
To set a soft, welcoming backdrop, we selected perimeter cabinets in a gentle, warm off-white finish. The stepped upper cabinetry and custom range hood enclosure draw the eye upward, giving the illusion of higher ceilings and letting light bounce across the entire room.
For the island, we wanted to create a distinct furniture piece that grounds the center of the kitchen. We chose a rich wood-tone finish for the island base, introducing organic warmth right in the middle of the workspace. This subtle two-tone contrast keeps the room feeling light and spacious without ever feeling cold or clinical.
The absolute showstopper in this kitchen has to be the countertops! We chose a breathtaking polished quartzite with soft, sweeping veins of warm beige, cream, and subtle taupe flowing throughout.
Quartzite is one of my absolute favorite natural stones to work with because it brings a level of luminous depth that you just can't replicate. It serves as the perfect visual bridge—tying the warm wood island base together with the off-white perimeter cabinets and champagne bronze hardware.
Every great design relies on the subtle details that you only notice when you get up close:
-
Picket Backsplash Tile: Behind the range and along the perimeter walls, we installed a uniquely shaped elongated picket tile in a glossy cream finish. Laid vertically behind the hood, it creates a subtle geometric focal point that catches under-cabinet lighting beautifully.
-
Champagne Bronze Hardware: We opted for slender, warm metallic handles and pulls that add a gentle touch of glamour to every drawer and cabinet door.
-
French-Inspired Seating: The cane-back counter stools at the island add a touch of vintage, French-country texture that softens the clean lines of the cabinetry.
A design like this comes to life through precision and care at every stage—from the exact tile spacing behind the range hood to the seamless countertop installation. Seeing my client standing in her finished kitchen, completely in love with her space, is the reason I pour so much passion into what I do every single day.
