Today, we’re giving you a peek inside the stunning new kitchen of the wonderful local designer, Ali Chance of A. Tanner Designs. If you follow her work, you know her taste is just exquisite, and her own kitchen is the ultimate proof. She chose a jaw-dropping stone—Taj Mahal quartzite—for a huge, gorgeous waterfall island with a matching seamless backsplash. It’s absolutely divine!
Taj Mahal quartzite is pure elegance—it has a soft, creamy, almost linen-like background with gentle veins of warm beige and soft gold running through it. This natural stone is highly sought-after because it offers the luxurious, high-end look of marble but with the superior durability and resilience that our clients expect. It’s luxurious and welcoming, with a beauty that makes you want to pull up a stool and stay awhile.
From Our Fabrication Shop…
This breathtaking project began with our incredibly talented fabrication team. Our craftsmen are the foundation of Benson Stone Company, and when they take on a beautiful, complex job like this waterfall island, they really get to shine!
Our stone fabricators are real artists. They can see how the movement in the Taj Mahal should organically flow. For this waterfall design, they had to precisely miter those edges so the veining flows seamlessly around the corner and down to the floor. It takes incredible precision and patience. They masterfully cut and polished the stone right here in our shop, turning a raw slab into an architectural masterpiece.
To Installation…
Once our fabricators have finished shaping the slabs, it’s time for our stellar installation team to take over. And let me tell you, these gentlemen are some of the most thoughtful and passionate craftsmen you’ll meet! Installing a huge, heavy island and matching backsplash requires tremendous strength, precision, and grace. They expertly managed those massive, precious pieces, fitting them together perfectly to achieve this flawless, high-end look.
To the Final Reveal.
And finally, the big reveal! Once our team finished, Ali came in and worked her magic with artful styling. The finished kitchen is everything it was meant to be: warm, inviting, and truly magnificent. That Taj Mahal waterfall island is the perfect spot for everything from everyday meal prep to grand holiday gatherings. It’s a stunning backdrop for making lasting memories at home.
