4 Granite & Quartz Features You Never Knew You Needed

waterfall edge quartzite kitchen countertop

Granite, quartz, and marble give your home natural elegance. Each of these stunning projects were designed and installed by our talented team at Benson Stone Company, and they show off some of the unique ways we can highlight the beauty of stone slabs in your home…

1. Wrap-Around Bar

Working with the open concept design of this home, we extended the giant Sea Pearl quartzite countertop from the kitchen and wrapped it around into the living area to tie the two rooms together. This creates space for additional seating and a unique custom minibar. Shout out to our designer Erin for such a clever layout!

2. Waterfall Edge

There’s nothing like a dramatic waterfall edge to highlight the natural beauty of your stone countertops. The spectacular veining on these SkaraBrae quartz slabs becomes the focal point of the room when they drop all the way down to the floor. Compliments to our designer Kayla for this totally gorgeous kitchen design!

3. Fireplace Surround

Just wow.

This stunning fireplace is surrounded by Greylac marble all the way up to the vaulted ceiling. Yes, those are FULL SLABS of marble mounted vertically on the wall. This type of install requires a level of skill that you’ll only get from our in-house team of craftsmen. Excellent work, guys!

Stone slab surrounds are becoming more and more popular – both ceiling-height designs like this one and the more traditional, half-wall sizes.

4. Split-Level Countertop

Here’s another creative idea from our designer Erin. As you can see, the seating area on this kitchen island features a separate piece of “floating” Black Galaxy granite, stacked on the edge of the Pearl Jasmine quartz island top. This split level design gives the island a more modern look, and it also creates extra leg room for the bar stools and a raised area for dining. How cool!
