Our kitchen and bath designer, Erin Knabe, oversaw this charming kitchen refresh. Partnering with the team at Ambassador Homes, LLC, Erin took a divided layout and turned it into an open, airy masterpiece that feels both modern and timeless.

Let There Be Light
The biggest transformation in this project was structural. By removing the wall that separated the dining nook, we allowed natural light to flood the kitchen, creating a bright, eat-in layout.
To ground the newly opened space, we replaced the old tile floors with rich Diamonte European White Oak hardwood by Provensza. Running natural wood from wall to wall brings in so much warmth and elegance, making the entire kitchen feel cozier and more inviting.
Soft Blues & Natural Stone
Erin and this homeowner chose materials that balance classic charm with a timeless coastal color palette.
The star of the room is the central island, finished in a gentle Blue Spruce hue. It adds just enough soft color without overpowering the space. The natural stone veining of the Crema Latte Quartzite brings warmth, depth, and an effortless luxury.
Crisp Cascade White perimeter cabinets by WoodHarbor keep the backdrop feeling clean and classic, while Glow Salt backsplash tile adds a subtle, high-gloss texture that catches the light beautifully. And remember: your metals don’t always have to match! The mixed metal finishes in this room – matte black hardware, stainless steel appliances, and honey bronze sconces – create a sense of richness and variety.
The Finishing Touches
No project is complete without those perfect furniture pieces that tie the whole design together. Erin teamed up with our in-house furniture designer, Robert, to customize these Phoebe Swivel Stools by Amisco at the island. Finished in a subtle champagne metal, these stools add a touch of glamour that complements the soft tones and makes the whole design feel finished and balanced.
