I loved working with this couple to help them design their beautiful home at Peterson Meadows.

We helped these homeowners design every element of their home, from the kitchen and baths, to the living room furniture and fireplace, to the floors!

I am so proud to show off this home design project at Peterson Meadows! I teamed up with designers and craftsmen from just about every department at Benson Stone Co to create this beautiful home, so it was truly a team effort.

Starting in the kitchen, you’ll notice the elegant island right off the bat. Don’t you love that dove grey countertop? Shout-out to the guys in the granite shop for the custom fabrication and install there! I literally can’t remember the last time I designed a kitchen without an island – they serve as the natural focal point of the room, and a versatile workstation. This homeowner loves to cook, so we installed a pull-out stand for the mixer, a skinny pull-out spice rack next to the stove, and some handy multi-level pull-out shelves for pots & pans. Little touches like that make a big difference in saving space and keeping your tools and appliances organized.

Moving into the living room, we have to give credit to our furniture designer Cynthia for the gorgeous coordinated living room set, complete with accent tables, area rug, and home decor. This room features  two matching Sherrill sofas in a cozy taupe fabric upholstery, and two matching Bradington Young leather reclining loungers. The soft grey monotone gives the room such a calm and graceful feel.

And how about that super cool electric blue fireplace, designed and installed by our own in-house fireplace crew! It’s surrounded by full slabs of polished porcelain, all the way up to the ceiling. Talk about a statement piece!

Finally, I just have to take the opportunity to praise our awesome flooring craftsmen for their handiwork throughout this home, from the luxury vinyl in the living areas to the plush carpet in the bedrooms. Having master craftsmen by your side makes such a huge difference with big home projects like this.

Isn’t this one just lovely? I enjoyed every moment of this country kitchen remodel project, and I’m proud to say that it turned out just as we had hoped.

This bright, refreshing country kitchen design features custom cabinetry throughout painted a warm antiqued ivory color. The arched oven hood is a unique touch, and the classy little island creates extra space for cooking and socializing.

The cabinets are topped with stunning white quartz countertops and a soft grey subway tile backsplash. These countertops were fabricated here in our granite shop and installed by our own team of granite craftsmen. Shout out to those guys for the fabulous work, as always!

The neutral color palette keeps this design versatile, so it’s easy to re-style it with new accessories and decor as the seasons change.

I am so proud to show off this stunning newly-built home! The homeowner wanted a classy design with some unique, modern touches and I think we really nailed it.

This home features a huge variety of materials that were selected and coordinated right here at Benson Stone Co. Being able to lay out all of these material samples in one showroom really makes the design process run much more smoothly. It’s easy to stick to a budget, and to visualize how the whole home is going to look when it’s finished. Here are a few of the highlights:

In the kitchen, you’ll find custom-built Marquis kitchen cabinets with frosted glass uppers and modern floating shelves. If you flip through the photos below, you’ll also notice a mini wine cooler built into the kitchen island. And speaking of the island… How about that two-tiered countertop! This was a really unique feature, with jet black Supernova granite layered on top of Monte Blanc quartzite for a multi-dimensional raised bar effect.

The star of the dining room is the extra large Desmond dining table in a deep Portobello finish by Universal furniture. The square style table legs carry on the sleek, geometric look we’re going for in this home.

I’ll also take a moment to praise the gorgeous custom fireplace, surrounded by a full-height grey tile facing to create some structure in the open floor plan home. Our team of master craftsmen installed the linear gas fireplace by Fireplace Xtrordinaire, complete with decorative crushed bronze glass.

Finally, our trusted flooring team installed hardwood, carpet and tile throughout the house.

I’m so proud of this lovely kitchen remodel in Rockton, IL. This one’s got a beautiful transitional style — a little bit shabby chic, and a little bit Scandinavian.

For this project, we chose two-tone custom cabinetry, with white for the perimeter and a cool charcoal blue for the kitchen island. The uppers feature glass doors, which are great for showing off a cute dish set and adding depth to the design. The brushed gold hardware matches the hardware on the boutique appliances. Have you ever seen such a pretty refrigerator and stove?

We chose snowy white quartz for the countertops, and they’re complimented by a whimsical marble mosaic tile backsplash. The natural-looking LVT floors add a slightly rustic touch. Finally, the cozy upholstered bar stools and the evergreen decor make the room homey and warm.

Overall, we achieved a very cheerful, welcoming look in this new kitchen, and the homeowner is thrilled!

I’m totally in love with this boho style kitchen remodel project we did in Roscoe, IL. This young family had a dark wood, 70’s-style kitchen that was cramped and a little dated. We really opened up the space and gave it a fresh, vibrant feel. This happy home features the following from Benson Stone Company…

Custom cabinets by Marquis in oyster white paint, including kitchen perimeter, peninsula, pantry, and built-in china cabinet in the living room. All get a touch of elegance with modern Jeffrey Alexander brushed gold hardware.

The perimeter cabinets are topped with Superwhite polished quartz countertops. Paired up with white gloss subway tile backsplash, this is a very popular combo for a clean and bright look in the kitchen. Of course, the peninsula is the real knock-out, covered in elegant, jet-black Nero Marquina quartz with a dramatic waterfall edge. Special compliments to our own team of granite craftsmen for the fabrication and install in this gorgeous kitchen.

Finally, we installed Regal Maple engineered hardwood flooring by Eagle Creek throughout the kitchen, front entry, living room, dining room, master bedroom, and hallway.

Hats off to Erin and these homeowners for the elegant collaborative interior design in this newly built home!

We’re excited to show off the design work in this bright, spacious new home. This beautiful new construction features lovely design elements throughout, but we want to highlight just a few of them.

The kitchen showstopper is the Calacatta Luccia polished quartz counters and full height backsplash. This marble-look classic will stand the test of time with dramatic gray veining on a creamy white background. It’s both elegant and easy, requiring little to no maintenance through the years. The bathroom vanities also feature cloud white quartz, for a fresh, bright look.

The countertops throughout the home were fabricated here in the Benson Stone Co granite shop and installed by our own team of expert granite craftsmen. We’re so proud to say that we’ve been voted the area’s #1 Granite Shop thanks to their dedication to excellence!

We chose DuraSupreme knotty alder cabinets with a Hudson panel in a cashew stain on the kitchen island, and in white paint on the perimeter. Knotty alder is a more rustic species, with smooth hardwood with a straight grain pattern and coloring. The knots vary in size and distribution and include tight, sound knots as well as open and split knots, giving the wood a uniquely informal appearance.

We also custom designed the white birch built-in entertainment cabinets and the bathroom vanities.

We used Oak style luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the living areas. This style features extra-long planks for a grand sense of scale plus enhanced painted bevels for ultra-realistic wood looks. Luxury vinyl floors can be installed in high-traffic and high-moisture areas, so they’re a strong choice for just about any room in the house. Special compliments to our own in-house team of flooring installers for the beautiful craftsmanship in this home!

Finally, the Suave Bianco tile in bathroom, which was installed by the Benson Stone Co tile team. With its pure white color and delicate contrasting grey veins, this luminous style is perfect for luxurious design spaces.

The soft blonde engineered hardwood plank flooring provides a light base, which opens up the room. Our in-house team of flooring craftsmen provide top-quality hardwood installation, which improves the value of the home.

Finally,  the striking black & gold pendant lighting over the kitchen island adds the finishing touch, along with the popular porcelain farmhouse sink.

These folks chose top quality Woodharbor cabinetry, with a white painted perimeter and a soft grey stained wood for the island. And did you notice the built-in wine bottle cubbies in the island? Custom details like this give the room a craftsman feel, and it’s a super handy for hosting dinner parties!

This beauty was truly a collaborative effort, because this crafty couple installed the backsplash and built that awesome industrial lighting fixture themselves!
