We’re thrilled to share Erin’s rustic kitchen design in a charming rural home in Byron. What a beauty!
These homeowners began with a clear vision; They purchased this property with the intent of restoring it into a place they could truly call their forever home. Their dream was to create an open layout, distinct from the original, with a focus on being more functional for entertaining and hosting their grandkids.
Reclaimed Wood & Leathered Granite
One of our favorite aspects of this project is the loft built of reclaimed wood from an antique barn on their property. What an awesome way to preserve history and create a space that tells a story! The character of the different wood tones and textures brings a craftsman appeal that is both authentic and heartwarming.
Another star of this kitchen is the Golden Crystal leathered granite countertops with a rock face edge. They were crafted and installed by our own in-house granite team, and they add the perfect touch of rustic charm the homeowners were aiming for. This stunning addition complements the reclaimed wood and ties the space together.
Cabinet Essentials
The gorgeous Knotty Alder cabinets (which were actually installed by the homeowners themselves!) are a testament to their commitment to craftsmanship. They feature soft-close doors, convenient roll-outs, and dedicated baking sheet tray storage. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure maximum functionality.
Lived-In Charm
Watching all of these elements come together was so rewarding. This kitchen stands as a testament to the homeowners’ vision, and a charming lived-in style. This is not just a kitchen; it is the heart of a forever home where this family can gather and make memories for years to come.
